Building & Monument Conservation

Building and Monument Conservation, founded in 1993, offers three related services: consulting for the preservation of historic masonry structures, hands on conservation of sculptures and monuments and assessments of historic cemeteries. We provide conditions assessments, treatment recommendations, budgets, bid specifications, on site review of work in progress, and quality control for projects involving the preservation and conservation of historic masonry buildings, public monuments and sculptures and historic cemeteries.

The hands-on conservation services include assessments, recommendations and treatments of stone sculptures, monuments, and carved ornament. We can also provide specifications, project oversight and on site review for conservation projects performed by contractors or other conservation firms.

Cemetery and burial ground services include preservation masterplans and assessments of markers, tombs, mausoleums, and cemetery monuments. We provide prioritized treatment recommendations, budgets, bid specifications, and project oversight.
